This is a Peruvian Daffodil (Hymenocallis narcissiflora), also known as a spider lily.

I found some of these lilies on the river in Louisiana.  When I looked them up, I came up with Swamp Lily.  Hope this helps.

Try this site.  You will see that this is just like the plant in question.

It is a  Crinuim Lily. Its also known as swamp lilly-bog lily-southern swamp lily.(Crinuim Americanum)Its in the Amaryllis family. Its hardy to zone 7.It can be grown in a bog area or along a stream shade or sun.Mine in shade or partial shade do better than my full sun one.I'm going to guess it can be self fertile.(My others are not in bloom when this one blooms)I grow a few Crinuims& have had them set seed.I bury the seed head half way in soil& when it sprouts cover with 2 inches of soil.I remove it and treat it as a bulbil. It blooms here in Tx late June to July& once established will send up a second stalk& rebloom. It's fragrant and smells similair to Jasmine. The flowers stay good 1-3 days depending on weather. It gets lots of hummers& hawkmoths.Averages maybe 7-10 flowers to a stalk.

I also grow a giant crinuim.Its bulb weighted 40 lbs!It has 3 ft leaves.
Peruvian Daffodil is more creamy in color and blooms later& the cup shape is slightly different. The leaves are skinnier also.
There are over 180 different varieties of Crinium.

This is probably the protected species Hymenocallis Coronaria. The common name is Rocky Shoals Spider Lily. The largest colony in the world is at Landsford Canal State Park in SC. More info about the Catawba River & canoe trips to view the spider lilies at www.catawbariverkeeper.org I actually have a Hymenocallis Liriosme (not endangered & purchased from reputable water garden supplier) in my water garden and the smell is heavenly!! Would be willing to share seed pods next spring/early summer after it blooms.
